In recent decades, geological modeling has significantly evolved, relying on the growing potential of hardware and software to manage integrate vast datasets 2D-3D geophysical underground data. Therefore, digitization integration with other forms data can often improve understanding systems, even when using so-called vintage or historical Seismic reflection have been extensively acquired mainly for hydrocarbon exploration since 60s generating large volumes Typically, these private commercial use are relatively unavailable research. However, time, seismic in many countries worldwide now becoming publicly available through time-based de-classification schemes. Such a great modern-day geo-research, unleashing opportunities re-interpretation modern methods. downside is that they only analog (paper, raster) format. The vectorization then constitutes an essential step unlocking their research potential. 2018 INGV established SISMOLAB-3D infrastructure, which devoted analyzing digital subsurface data, such as profiles well-logs, build models, principally seismotectonics, hazard assessment, geo-resources applications. this contribution, we discuss robustness WIGGLE2SEGY code, firstly published by Sopher 2018, focusing examples from different tectonic geodynamic contexts within Italian territory.
